2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. soda
1 t. salt
1/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup orange juice
1 T. grated orange rind
1 egg well beaten
1/2 cup chopped nuts. (coarsely)
1 to 2 cups fresh cranberries chopped.
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt. Cut in shortening. Combine orange juice, well beaten egg and orange rind. Pour all at once into dry ingredients mixing just enough to dampen. Carefully fold in chopped nuts and cranberries. Put in loaf pan. Bake 350" 1 hr.
